Infants and Child Admittance Policy

Infants under 3 will not be admitted to the theatre except to productions aimed exclusively at infants. In this case a ticket will need to be purchased for every child, including babes in arms.

Children aged 3 years and over will be admitted and, more specific age limits may apply depending on the production. Children should be able to sit, unaided, in their own seat and be attentive to the performance so as not to distract other members of the audience.

In accordance with Dundee Rep and Scottish Dance Theatre’s licensing requirements all attendees to performance spaces must be in possession of a valid ticket and children under the age of 16 must be seated next to their accompanying adult, parent or guardian unless designated youth performances/group booking.

Parents are advised that some shows may contain swearing, adult content, language unsuitable for young people, sexual subject matter or loud or disturbing effects.

Other age restrictions may apply to specific shows. If you are unsure, please ask. Members of the public are asked to consult staff for advice on age restrictions for particular shows prior to purchasing tickets or attending the venue.  If in doubt please seek the advice of Box Office staff before confirming your booking. Management reserves the right to refuse admission if a ticket bearing child is younger than the minimum age guidance for the performance being attended.  Management also reserves the right to request that accompanying adults remove infants or children from the auditorium if they are causing a disturbance to performers or to other patrons.
