Simon is a Scottish-based lighting designer whose work has been seen around the world.
Recent highlights include Robert Lepage and Ex Machina’s production of The Magic Flute for the Quebec City Opera Festival; Vox Motus’s Flight (Edinburgh International Festival, New York, Galway, Melbourne, Brighton); Tortoise in a Nutshell’s Feral (touring internationally, including a recent run in New York); Traverse Theatre and Red Bridge Arts’ Black Beauty (Edinburgh, New York, Los Angeles).
Simon is a regular collaborator with Vox Motus (Flight, Dragon, The Infamous Brothers Davenport, The Not-So-Fatal-Death of Grandpa Fredo, Bright Black, Slick) and Magnetic North (Lost in Music, Our Fathers, Kora, Sex and God, Pass the Spoon, Wild Life and After Mary Rose).

Simon has won the Critics Award for Theatre in Scotland for Best Design three times - for Flight in 2018, Black Beauty in 2017 and Bondagers in 2015.
