Richard Conlon


Richard trained at Queen Margaret University College. He was an original member of the Dundee Rep Ensemble, with productions including All My Sons; A Family Affair; The Plague; Cabaret; and Flora The Red Menace, amongst others. He also returned to play Pirelli in Sweeney Todd.

Other recent theatre credits include: Macbeth (Perth Theatre); Ane Pleasant Satyre of the Thrie Estaitis (ABandC Theatre); Harold & Maude (Glasgow Tron); Private Lives, St. Catherine's Day, The Importance of Being Alfred and The Matinee Idle (all Glasgow Oran Mor); Smalltown (Random Accomplice); A View From The Bridge; The Merchant of Venice; A Christmas Carol and As You Like It (all Edinburgh Lyceum); Zorro and Peter Pan (both Visible Fictions); Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla (Paines Plough/Oran Mor); First You're Born (Plutot la Vie); Great Expectations (Prime); Brightwater (Mull); the title role in Macbeth (National Theatre of Scotland’s Elgin Project); Cat on A Hot Tin Roof; The Glass Menagerie and Woman in Black (all St. Andrew's Byre).
Richard's television and film credits include: Garrow's Law (Shed Media/BBC); PC Elliott in Low Winter Sun (Tiger Aspect for Channel 4); Age of Genius (BBC); The Strange Case of Sherlock Holmes and Arthur Conan Doyle (BBC); High Road (ITV); Taggart (ITV) and Bad Boys (BBC).
Aside from his many roles on stage and screen, he has also performed on several radio broadcasts including comedies The Ellis & Clark Show and The Knox Factor and dramas Rebus: The Black Book; Rough Magic; The Dead Hour; A Second Life; The Lady Detectives; and Benedict’s Rule.
