Martin McCormick


Martin trained as an actor at the RSAMD (now RCS) graduating in 2007. His previous credit at Dundee Rep (as the graduate actor) include Romeo & JulietJack & the Beanstalk,Yarn (co-produced with GridIron) and Peer Gynt (NTS/Barbican).  

Other theatre credits include work with NTS, Tron, Perth Theatre, Royal Lyceum Edinburgh, Citizens, Oran Mor, Magnetic North, Vox Motus, Catherine Wheels, Visible Fictions, Random Accomplice and The Arches.  He has worked extensively in theatre and television in Scotland, having appeared in the Taggart, Rebus, Shetland, Still Game and River City. 

Martin is also an award-winning playwright, picking up the 2015 Critics Awards for Theatre in Scotland for Best New Play for his debut commission, Squash and the inaugural award for Best Short Play for Potterrow in 2016 

He has also written for NTSTraversePlay Pie Pint, Visible Fictions and Random Accomplice.  Martin is also the resident writer and director the Howden Park Centre Panto in Livingston
