Caitlin Skinner is Artistic Director of pop up new writing theatre company The Village Pub Theatre and recipient of the 2014 Tom McGrath Maverick Award for her work with this company. She trained at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh and at the City University of New York. Caitlin is Associate Artist with Edinburgh based Strange Theatre and co-founder of collaborative theatre project Scrapyard. Her directing credits include Best of the Village Pub Theatre, Village Pub Theatre/Traverse Theatre, Goddess, Strange Theatre and Mother a la Carte, Strange Theatre. She has worked as Assistant Director with Lung Ha's Theatre Company (Un Petit Moliere) and Royal Lyceum Theatre Company (Cinderella). She is currently developing devised physical performance piece Sanitise which will appear at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August before touring Scotland later in the year. She is delighted to have the opportunity to work with Dundee Rep and has learned a huge amount from this skilled and generous team.
