Following Government advice about Scotland entering Level 4 on 26 December, we have made the decision to conclude our run of WINDOWS at Dundee Rep Theatre on Christmas Eve rather than 6 January. We’re very sorry for any disappointment this may cause and would like to thank you for your continued support and patience.
Bringing a much-needed dose of festive cheer to all passersby, we have transformed Dundee Rep Theatre’s WINDOWS into a wonderful work of sound and visual art with the help of award-winning designer Karen Tennent, renowned lighting designer Emma Jones, composer MJ McCarthy and with the voice of Gary Robertson playing the starring role. We interviewed the creatives during the set-up - watch the video HERE.
Gary Robertson was commissioned to write a poem to accompany the beautiful visual display in the Rep’s windows. Gary’s words and the window exhibit both bring to life past productions and over 80 years of our theatre’s history. Taking the role of the theatre itself, Gary’s poem, Windows, really brings the venue to life at a time when our doors are sadly closed to audiences.
You can read the poem by Gary Robertson HERE or listen to him reading it HERE.
