SCRATCH #4 - Homegrown Talent

No Offence-Unplugged

The Body, Shaper Caper’s Youth Advisory Board
Part of a wider verbatim work, No Offence-Unplugged looks at young people’s experiences.

Belleville Rendezvous (a work in progress) - Blood Of The Young
Directed by Paul Brotherston

National Theatre of Scotland company-in-residence Blood of the Young (Pride and Prejudice* (*sort of), Daphne Oram’s Wonderful World of Sound) come to play with a modern classic of French cinema.

Blood of the Young’s take on this rip-roaring adventure story - full of bikes, gangsters, dogs, and one kick-ass Granny – comes with a live soundtrack of French pop covers as well as the company’s usual blend of irreverent comedy, dynamic physicality, and inventive staging.

CARAVAN by Daniel Cameron
Directed by Jordan Blackwood

A caravan in the middle of nowhere. Something horrible in the distance. Three strangers are confined to the inside. They have a chance to grow and shed bad skin. The rules of the game are simple - one foot out of the caravan and you leave. The person who sticks it out wins.

But the ones who leave are never seen again. As these characters battle it out in a bid to win the caravan, tempers flare, tensions rise and underlying darkness swells and bursts. A new play about survival, redemption and home.
