Dundee Rep presents
Director Jordan Blackwood
Creative Producer Carla Marina Almeida
Rep Stripped is our new festival showcasing the best as-yet-unseen stories for the stage from Dundee and across the country in a stripped back, intimate environment.
Taking place over ten days in April, we are giving a platform to the creation and development of new work.
Rep Stripped is a playing space for local and national artists to test out their ideas, and a unique experience for an audience to be the first to see them.
What Can You Expect?
Embracing a stripped back approach, we’ll be transforming the Rep stage into an intimate studio and using backstage areas of the building as alternative performance spaces.
At the heart of the festival will be three new and as-yet-unseen plays, accompanied by a programme of scratch showcases, new play readings, live music, installations, secret events and more to be announced.
Rep Stripped will also see us collaborate with National Theatre of Scotland, Playwright's Studio Scotland and other partners to offer a workshop programme and events across the city.
If you’re interested in joining us for the festival, hold tight until February when we announce the full programme and ticketing information.
For now, join the conversation and tell us what you would like to see at Rep Stripped using #RepStripped, tagging us on social media or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are currently undergoing the selection process for our programme after a successful call-out for theatre makers across the country to submit ideas they would like to showcase as part of Rep Stripped.
The deadline for submissions has now passed and we have received an overwhelming number of applications. We aim to be in touch with all applicants by the end of January.
Please note: At this early stage of programming, we are not looking for expressions of interest from actors. We would appreciate no casting enquiries at this point.
All questions should be sent to email@example.com.
