Join Ali de Souza, Coordinator for the BA Acting programme at RCS, for a practical workshop providing insight, tips and hints about how to maximise your potential for success when auditioning for acting courses.
This workshop has a focus on RCS’ BA Acting course however it will be useful for anyone considering auditioning for drama school. Please bring along a monologue that you are currently looking at for your auditions.
Ali de Souza has worked extensively as an actor and director in both theatre and film for over 30 years with many companies throughout the UK. He has also directed over 30 short films. He taught acting and directing at Queen Margaret University for six years and became Programme Leader for the BA Acting and Performance course there before joining the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in January 2009.
Ali studied MA (Hons) Psychology at University of Dundee from 1981-1985 and then went on to study PG Acting at Bristol Old Vic Theatre school in 1991. In 2001, Ali graduated in MFA Screen Directing at Queen Margaret University and in 2014, he completed a PG Cert in Teaching and Learning at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Ali is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
