This 3 hour session will give those about to audition for HE Acting courses the opportunity to discuss their monologue choices and rehearse/perform at least one of in order to receive feedback and tips for development.
Participants are invited to bring a selection of monologues to discuss and/or one that they would like to show – it does not have to be ‘ready’ – it can be at any stage of rehearsal, from first read-through to fully prepared. Feedback will be offered based on whatever stage of preparation the participant is at. Additional one-to-one classes may be offered as a follow-up; more details on request.
Jane Hensey is an Acting Lecturer and Director, based at Dundee & Angus College. She is also a regular lecturer and director at the RCS , for whom she is on the audition panel for the BA Acting course. She has taught on the foundation acting course and BA(Hons) Acting (international) courses at E15 and is currently delivering a series of acting workshops as part of a Masters in Education she is studying through the RCS. Through these workshops she will be working with students on BA Acting and/or Masters level Acting programmes at the RCS, Guildford School of Acting, Birmingham School of Acting, Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts , Rose Bruford and Napier University.’
