The Rep is Seeking Applicants for Exciting Trainee Jobs Graeae, Derby Theatre and Dundee Rep are looking for a Creative Learning Trainee (click here for details) Trainee Arts Manager (click here for details) Trainee Director (click here for details) to work with us on our forthcoming production of ‘Blood Wedding’ from January – April 2015. Blood Wedding is an exciting co-production between Graeae Theatre Company, Derby Theatre and Dundee Rep Theatre, incorporating Graeae’s benchmark accessible aesthetics in a modern retelling of a modern classic. The Trainees will be embedded in the production process and experience first-hand the production coming together, to help develop their skills and support their professional development. The successful candidates will be based in Dundee Rep Theatre, seeing the production through from first rehearsals, opening night in Dundee, and transfer to Derby. They will be an integral member of the team and will be able to observe and be involved in practical delivery, experiencing first-hand the range of work involved in producing a touring show. The successful candidates will have an opportunity to input into their traineeship plan, allowing us to tailor it to their individual development needs and interests. Essential requirements for the posts are:- Applicants must identify as Deaf or disabled-Some experience or interest in Theatre (Creative Learning & Arts Manager posts)- A proven track record as a director or assistant director (Director post)- A friendly outgoing nature confident to communicate with a diverse range of people and eagerness to learn- Available for interview on 28th October Desirable skills for the post are:- Strong communication skills. - An organised approach to work. These are paid positions, in which evening and weekend work is essential, suitable for early to mid career practitioners.
