Dundee Rep Theatre is excited to announce Next Up Festival Dundee Rep Theatre is excited to announce a new project for March 2017. Next Up Festival Next Up Festival will be a celebration of young theatre-makers in the North East of Scotland. School groups and youth theatres will devise original performances to be shared in Dundee Rep’s auditorium on the weekend of the 24th – 26th March 2017. Taking inspiration from Dundee Rep Theatre’s upcoming production of Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller each group will work with the stimulus of The American Dream to create an original 25 minute performance. Each participating group will receive the following: A launch workshop from Rep Creative Learning (RCL) Up to 4 rehearsal support visits from RCL Full technical rehearsal with Rep Production staff Over the festival weekend groups will have the opportunity to: Perform on Dundee Rep’s main stage Take part in workshops from visiting artists Watch original performances created by their peers Host their own post-show discussion Additional information Participation in Next Up Festival costs £170. This includes launch workshop, rehearsal visits, technical rehearsal, performance and participation in workshops over the festival weekend.
