HUNGRY GHOSTS
Lost Dog presents the Scottish premiere
Awarded The Place Robin Howard Commission 2007 and developed with support from Battersea Arts Centre, Lost Dog’s new work is a twisted tale of one man’s night out at the theatre…
He came to see a show, a show that happened a while ago, a show that went horribly wrong and that was supposed to have cost him his life, but because of his timely trip to the gents, a show he escaped unhurt. Others were not so lucky and so he’s here to remember them, to re-live and so re-write the past.
A physical and challenging piece of dance theatre that explores our experience of powerlessness in the face of seemingly random acts of terrorism, and that looks at the feelings of loss and guilt experienced by those who survive them.
Inspired by but not based on the events of the Moscow theatre siege in October 2002.
Lost Dog have won the Burgos International Choreography Competition, were runners up in the Hanover Choreography Competition, and have been nominated for a Total Theatre Award. This is the Scottish premiere of Hungry Ghosts.
