From the writer of 'The Scaffies' comes the long-awaited return of 'The Berries'. This hilarious play is set in the summer of 1974 in the berry fields of Kirriemuir and takes a nostalgic trip 'doon memory dreel' as we follow four 'nabblers' from the Fintry housing scheme during a typical day. Bouts of wild banter, topical and political debate are mixed with hopes and dreams to make sure the hard graft is forgotten, for the time being at least. Prowling in the background is the rough and temperamental character of Rab the foreman, making sure there is no slacking from the workers. For those who went to the berries, the memories and laughs will come flooding back and for those who didn't, this play will certainly provide a comical insight into a culture long gone.
