This exciting double-bill from Scottish Dance Theatre pairs TuTuMucky by Botis Seva, a fresh voice in British dance alongside the world premiere of RITUALIA by Colette Sadler a brand new commission. Together they promise an evening of high-energy, futuristic, and engaging work.
TuTuMucky came from an interest in social order, structured lifestyles and hierarchies. Blurring boundaries between ballet, contemporary, and hip-hop technique, Seva explores peace within chaos and how important it is as human beings to find peace for ourselves, regardless of what is imposed on us by society. Set to a score of original music by beat producer Torben Lars Sylvest.

Berlin-based Scottish choreographer Colette Sadler is invited to work with Scottish Dance Theatre in a reimagining of Igor Stravinsky's Les Noces, originally premiered in Paris in 1923 by Diaghilev's Ballets Russes. Sadler's interpretation of Bronislava Nijinska's feminist cultural landmark transforms the gender thematics of the original ballet by introducing the idea of androgyny as its point of departure. Evoking and celebrating the notion of hybridity, exploring iconic artificiality, presentation and fashion, RITUALIA is set to be a thought-provoking visual feast.
Colette’s creative team includes Dramaturg Assaf Hochman, Costume Designer Rike Zöllner, Light Designer Samuli Laine and Choreographic Assistance and artistic advice from Leah Marojevic.
Join Artistic Director Fleur Darkin on stage after the performance for a 20-30mins post-show discussion along with Colette Sadler and Dramturg Assaf Hochman.
