Dundee Rep Launches New Online Game for Christmas!

Dundee Rep Theatre is unveiling an online interactive game created by a leading Tayside web designer to launch its annual Christmas production of Roald Dahl’s George’s Marvellous Medicine. You can play Transforming Trevor online now at transformingtrevor.co.uk

Transforming Trevor was developed by Ryan McLeod, who runs design company Made by Slurpp, and who has worked on websites for internationally-renowned artists the Chemical Brothers and Coldplay.

Ryan developed the game over several months following a request by the Rep to create an on-line experience which would complement its Christmas production of George’s Marvellous Medicine.

“Transforming Trevor is a simple, but fun game for all ages,” said Ryan, who graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in 2010 after completing a degree in interactive media design.

“Roald Dahl’s use of words and language and the way in which he crafts these amazing stories is unique; I really wanted to capture that feeling of fun and magic and bring it into the game.”

The upcoming production of George’s Marvellous Medicine by Dundee Rep Ensemble kicks off on Thursday, 24 November, and runs until Saturday, 31 December. The lead role of George will be played by both of the Rep’s graduate actors, Rebekah Lumsden (24) and Laurie Scott (22), who trained together at the Royal Conservatoire in Glasgow before taking up the graduate posts at the Rep earlier this year.  George’s Marvellous Medicine will be their second production together at the Rep, having both featured in Spoiling, the Rep’s recent Community tour.

Tickets are available from Dundee Rep box office 01382 223530 or online at www.dundeerep.co.uk/event/marvellous
