Seeking Young Photographers for Connections 500!

Dundee Rep Theatre’s Creative Learning department are looking for 3 amateur photographers aged between 16-25 to come along and capture the excitement of National Theatre Connections festival from Friday 6-Sunday 8th May.

National Theatre Connections is the UKs biggest youth theatre festival with over 500 companies performing at 41 partner venues across the UK. This is the first year that Dundee Rep Theatre have hosted a National Theatre Connections festival and the weekend is set to be an exciting one with youth theatres and school groups coming from across Scotland to perform.

Anyone interested in this voluntary opportunity should be available at the following times:

Friday 6th May 6-10pm

Saturday 7th May 10-5pm

Sunday  8th May 10-5pm

Your task will be to move around the building taking pictures of the various workshops, tours and open mic performances. We would like you to capture the excitement and buzz of the weekend. This is a great opportunity to get involved in a National Theatre Festival and meet lots of like-minded creative young people.

To be eligible to apply for this role you must:

  • Be aged 16-25
  • Have access to your own camera
  • Be available for the full weeken
  • Never have had formal photography training

In return for your time and commitment Dundee Rep Creative Learning will offer each photographer the following:

  • A 2 hour photography workshop with Viktoria Begg prior to the festival
  • Lunch on Saturday & Sunday of the festival
  • Free tickets to the performances for the entire festival
  • 2 free tickets to Dundee Rep Ensemble’s production of ‘Much Ado About Nothing’
