New Brand & Website for Scottish Dance Theatre!

From scottishdancetheatre.com:

"A year in the making, we are delighted to bring you Scottish Dance Theatre’s new brand and website!

From writing the briefs last Autumn, to selecting and interviewing potential designers, we have worked hard to distil the essence of the company and create a new brand and site truly representative of our stance as an innovative, world-class house of dance all the while embodying a sense of movement and modernity.

After an extensive search, we selected Jamhot, a cutting edge design house from Glasgow whose past clients include DanceBase, The Tron Theatre and more commercial organisations such as Tennents and Debenhams. They impressed us with their creative flair and genuine enthusiasm for understanding the company’s core values and personality, spending a substantial chunk of time speaking to company members in order to gain as much insight as possible.

Scottish Dance Theatre’s logo has undergone a few different looks over the years, starting in 1986 when Scottish Dance Theatre was conceived as Dundee Rep Dance Company under the artistic direction of Royston Muldoom. In 1995, the company changed it’s name to Scottish Dance Theatre and the first logo under that title was created. Following Janet Smith’s appointment in 1997, the branding was changed once more to the logo we have all become so familiar with."
