Dundee Rep Ensemble Announces Autumn Season 2015

Dundee Rep Theatre is delighted to announce another exciting autumn season of work for autumn 2015. Production from award-winning Dundee Rep Ensemble includes John McGrath’s ground breaking The Cheviot, the Stag and the Black, Black Oil,  Roald Dahl’s The Witches and Midsummer (a play with songs) by Scottish playwright David Greig and Gordon McIntyre.

Dundee Rep Ensemble’s first production this season is The Cheviot, The Stag and the Black, Black Oil (9 – 26 Sep), an extraordinary play looking at the exploration and economic changes in the Scottish Highlands. Joe Douglas directs the Ensemble in this pivotal piece of Scottish theatre in the first professional production on the Scottish stage in more than twenty years. Following on from last year successful community tour Dundee Rep Ensemble will again take a production into the local community. Midsummer (a play with songs) (14 – 31 Oct) by David Greig and Gordon McIntrye will tour to venues through Dundee, Angus and Fife. Ros Philip directs this quirky and charming love story with songs, car chases, wedding dust-ups and self loathing hangovers. This Christmas Dundee Rep Ensemble presents Roald Dahl’s The Witches (26 Nov-31Dec), Dahl’s most deliciously monstrous story involving the most mischievous gathering of witches ever assembled.
