Sitting at the cultural heart of Scotland and the City of Dundee, the Rep is integral to the transformation of the city. 

The Company delivers ‘built in Dundee’ dance and theatre in the city and on tour (in Scotland, the UK and internationally), a programme of visiting companies and artists on the Rep stage, a creative learning programme across both theatre and dance and a highly successful, award-winning events and catering operation. 

The Rep’s vision is to deliver unmissable experiences for the curious, with a commitment to engage, support and take risks. 

The theatre is looking for a new Head of Workshop to manage the workshop department to produce all construction and scenic elements required by Dundee Rep Theatre across main house, learning, touring and visiting productions and other projects.

The post-holder will lead the efficient and safe operation of the department and must have an awareness of current health and safety legislation within theatre.

Salary - £23,000 - £26,000 depending on experience

Creative Learning Trainee
Rep Creative Learning

The Creative Learning Trainee is a 44-week part-time paid post within the Creative Learning Team at Dundee Rep Theatre. The successful candidate will be involved in delivering, developing and supporting activity across three strands of the busy department: Education and Pathways; Participation and Young Artists; and Community, Health and Wellbeing.

This traineeship is an exciting opportunity for the right person to develop their facilitation practice and gain practical experience working across a unique range of contexts with diverse groups and partners. Throughout the traineeship, they will be mentored by a senior member of the Creative Learning team who will work with them to develop and explore their own artistic enquiry.

The candidate will have the opportunity to participate in professional development events and network with industry professionals. The Trainee will also be encouraged to reflect upon their practice as an artist, participate in team skill sharing workshops and develop a strong understanding of creative learning principles and practice.
